Planning a visit to the Brooks Newell Region this fall? As the leaves turn golden and the air gets crisp, it’s the perfect time to fall into some autumn fun. Explore Dinosaur Provincial Park before the first snowfall, catch a star-studded Brooks Bandits hockey game or find your way out of the Brooks Corn Maze. Discover why fall is a magical time to explore the Brooks Newell Region and make the most of this vibrant season with fun fall activities for the entire family.

 

Thursday:

Experience the autumn charm of the Region with a visit to the local farmers’ market. Support local growers, connect with the community and browse a variety of seasonal produce, fresh baked goods and handcrafted gifts. The Brooks Farmers’ Market runs annually from May through October on Thursdays, from 2 to 6 p.m. in Veteran’s Park beside City Hall.

If your visit is early enough in the season, catch Music in the Badlands, an evening of music and storytelling set against the stunning landscape of Dinosaur Provincial Park. Tickets are $15, with free admission for children under 12.

Friday & Saturday:

Hockey fans, this one’s for you! This fall, experience the thrill of top-tier local hockey by attending a Brooks Bandits game. Now part of the BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League), the Bandits are ready to dominate the competition with an impressive roster. Catch a home game at Centennial Regional Arena, starting September 21st. Check out their full schedule and grab your tickets here.

Saturday & Sunday:
Nothing says fall like a corn maze! The Brooks Corn Maze is open every weekend from 1 to 5 p.m. from mid-August through the end of October. This family-friendly attraction offers interactive activities for children, including a magnetic fish pond, The Human Hamster, Pasture Putt Golf, The Corny Sandbox and a petting zoo with lambs, bunnies and goats.

Enjoy the full fall experience at the Brooks Corn Maze with farm fresh fruits and veggies for purchase. In September, bring a basket for raspberry picking. As October approaches, pumpkin sales will begin—making it the perfect time to find your ideal pumpkin and fully embrace the fall spirit! Plan your visit and create memorable fall moments at the Brooks Corn Maze!

  • Adults: $13
  • Children (ages 5 to 12): $7
  • Children (ages 5 and under): Free
  • Family Pass (two adults and up to three children): $40

Seasonal Events:

Immerse yourself in the Region’s local heritage at the Brooks & District Museum’s annual Heritage Fall Fair. Every year, this fall event features a variety of stalls and vendors showcasing local produce, arts, crafts, plants and more! Kick off the festivities with the Heritage Tractor Parade, an event highlight that promises fun for all ages! Celebrate the community and its traditions in this lively, family-friendly atmosphere!
