Overview
Location: Dinosaur Provincial Park
Loop Length: 1.3km
Walking Time: 45 Minutes
Adjacent to the public loop road, this trail winds and bends through the history that has remained in the hoodoos. The trail climbs in elevation past hoodoos and pinnacles, around sandstone ridges cut with rills (tiny streams) and through areas of bentonite clay. The views are spectacular!
This is the only trail next to the park’s specially designated area called the Natural Preserve, which is off limits to all but park staff, research scientists and interpretive guided tours.
