Overview
The area south and west of Brooks contains two major reservoirs, Lake Newell and Kitsum Reservoir.
Birds species seen in these areas include:
- Shorebirds
- Ferruginous Hawk
- Burrowing Owl
- Caspian Tern
- American Bittern
- Western Grebe
- Clark’s Grebe
- Variety of sparrows
- Chestnut-collared Longspur
